Garage and Workshop Buildings for Bowling Green, KY

Bowling Green is a car town, and car people have a very specific problem: the attached two-car garage is where the family keeps everything, so there is nowhere to actually work. A separate shop building solves that in a way that no amount of shelving in the attached garage ever will.

Spec height before you spec footprint

The mistake almost everybody makes is buying enough floor and not enough air. If you ever want a lift, a tall tool chest, a hoist, or just to stand a hood up against the wall, sidewall height is what decides whether that is possible. Our garage and lofted garage styles are built with taller walls, and the lofted version adds overhead storage so your floor stays clear for the work.

Door width is the second decision

Measure the widest vehicle you will bring in with the mirrors out, then add real clearance on both sides. Backing something valuable through a tight opening every week is how trim gets destroyed. A separate walk door on the side is worth every penny, because you will use it fifty times for every once you open the big door.

Floors, power and light

If you are rolling a jack, a compressor or a heavy chest around, put the building on concrete rather than gravel. It costs more up front and it is the right call for a shop. Plan your electrical layout before we build so the outlets, lighting and any subpanel land where you want them, then have your own licensed electrician do the hookup after delivery. Add extra windows, because good daylight makes a shop pleasant and no amount of fixtures fully replaces it. All the options are on the custom options page.

Permits and placement

Call the City of Bowling Green or Warren County about setbacks, size thresholds and whether your build needs a permit, and check your subdivision covenants if you have them. Then think about the approach: you want to be able to drive in and out without a three-point turn, and you want the door facing somewhere you will not be blinded by afternoon sun while you work.

Delivery

We need roughly two feet more than the building width to get it into place, about thirteen feet of overhead clearance, and more turning room the longer the building is. Clear limbs ahead of time and get written permission in advance if we have to cross a neighbor. Our preparing for delivery page covers it.

Buying

Rent-to-own is available with no credit check and no effect on your credit score, and traditional financing with soft-pull pre-approval, twelve-month zero percent offers and terms out to fifteen years on approved credit is available too. See our rent-to-own and financing options page, browse the building styles, or build it in the 3D building designer.
