Start with the porch

Plan the interior in zones
Most pool houses want three things: a changing area with a little privacy, a dry area for towels and a fridge, and a wet-tolerant area near the door for chemicals, floats and the pump gear. Keep chemicals separate and ventilated. Chlorine in a closed cabinet will corrode everything metal in the building.
A 12×16 covers a basic pool house. A 14×24 with a porch gets you a real bar and seating area plus storage. We build to 16×60 if you want the full outdoor room.
Insulation and power are not optional here
If people are going to be inside in July, get spray foam insulation. If there is a fridge, a TV, a fan or lighting, get the electrical done during the build. Our finish-out packages include electrical, flooring and wall coverings, and doing it at the shop is dramatically cheaper and cleaner than retrofitting a finished building. Plumbing we do not do in house, but if you want a sink or a half bath we will help you find the right contractor.
Match the house

Placement, pad and rules
Set it on a level gravel pad about a foot larger than the building on all sides, on ground that drains away from the pool deck. Check Hendersonville’s accessory structure setbacks and your subdivision covenants first; buildings near a pool sometimes intersect with fencing and barrier requirements too.
